Effect of Homomorphic Filter on Infrared Images for Exposure Fusion
نویسندگان
چکیده
An important factor to improve the visual quality of an image is contrast enhancement. The more the value of contrast, the simpler it is to identify and compare between different objects in an image. This paper focuses on experimenting how efficient different contrast enhancement techniques developed for visual images work for infrared images. It also determines which technique suites well to site a weapon hidden beneath a person’s clothing application of infrared imaging. We have compared Homomorphic filtering to the classical technique of histogram equalization using metrics of entropy, sharpness and user observations. These metrics provide both qualitative and quantitative analyses of the implemented work which has relevance to the end user application of concealed weapon detection using infrared imaging.

Fusion of Thermal Infrared and Visible Images Based on Multi-scale Transform and Sparse Representation
Due to the differences between the visible and thermal infrared images, combination of these two types of images is essential for better understanding the characteristics of targets and the environment. Thermal infrared images have most importance to distinguish targets from the background based on the radiation differences, which work well in all-weather and day/night conditions also in land s...
متن کاملHomomorphic filter based exposure fusion
Multi-exposure image fusion, deals with combining a given a set of images captured at different exposure levels to obtain an image where all areas are well-exposed and resultant fused image is more suitable for human and machine perception. In the proposed method we have applied Homomorphic filter to set of multi exposed visual and IR images so as to highlight the high frequency components and ...

This paper presents fast and effective filtering techniques for image enhancement from remote sensing Indian remote sensing satellite P6 Liss IV remotely sensed data like Near-Infrared band. There are four filtering techniques used for image enhancement based on spatial domain filters and frequency domain filters such as median filter, wiener filter, bilateral filter and Gaussian homomorphic fi...
متن کاملAn Efficient Curvelet Framework for Denoising Images
Wiener filter suppresses noise efficiently. However, it makes the out image blurred. Curvelet preserves the edges of natural images perfectly, but, it produces visual distortion artifacts and fuzzy edges to the restored image, especially in homogeneous regions of images. In this paper, a new image denoising framework based on Curvelet transform and wiener filter is proposed, which can stop nois...

Due to the differences between the visible and thermal infrared images, the combination of these two types of images leads to better understanding of the characteristics of targets and the environment. Thermal infrared images are really in distinguishing targets from the background based on the radiation differences and land surface temperature (LST) calculation. However, their spatial resolu...
